An important FYI for MyFittnessPal users: Your daily calorie restriction does not automatically decrease as you lose weight!

If you’ve lost weight since starting out, it’s worth doing the following every few weeks to get the app to reprogram your calorie limit. Go to the “more” tab>”goals”> and then fiddle with any one of the settings like “activity level” and then set it back to where you had it.

I had forgotten to do this for 15-20 pounds and I lost 120 calories yesterday. It’s better to adjust to the reduction a few calories at a time rather than having to make that change quickly!

I’m sorry in advance to everyone who is about to lose a ton of their daily calories in one swoop, but hopefully this gets some people through plateaus!
